My iPod

For my birthday, I received a new iPod.  On May 2nd, approximately two weeks after receiving said new iPod, I lost it.  Not only did I lose my iPod, I also lost my Toshiba Gigabeat MP3 player……but this story doesn’t end here.  I had an aquaintance FIND it and RETURN it!   Amazing!  There are good people out in the world - Thanks, Frank!

Now that I have had it back, I’ve gone a little hog wild with loading my iPod up to capacity.  Currently, I have close to 14 GB worth of shtuff on it.  This includes 2595 songs and over 150 Podcasts.

Someone recently asked me what do you have on your iPod.  I kind of threw out an answer because there is SOOO much that I can’t quite remember :-)

He bit her where?

Do not watch if you are offended by clinical references to reproductive organs. This is a video of a little dog biting a man and the owner’s pleas afterwards. I’ve been told this is quite old but its funny/sad/pathetic.

Pictures of Thai and one special friend…Jackie

Went down to the Hampton, VA show to visit with Thai and a new friend of Thai’s named Jackie.

What the heck? I salute those who went before me….

I never enlisted in the military.  Just wasn’t something that I wanted to do.  But…my dad was in the Army, I had a brother retire from the Navy after 20 years, and my other two brothers also were in the military. I have three cousins, three uncles, one aunt, and my grandpa all served.  So, as Memorial Day comes around I want to pay my respects to these honorable soldiers past and of course, the present.

I caught a story on www.usatoday.com of a soldier who recently passed.  He was burned over 90+ percent of his body and should not have lived as long as he did.  And because he did, he was able to inspire and provide hope to others.  Please read his story.  Its a great one.

Bobby

WTH: I’m so done with….

I’ve got a nice cup o’ java going, had some yoghurt and then realized I was sort of peeved….

I’m so done with having to consider if I should drive to a dog event to shoot some fun pictures because my capital investment return on a tank of gas would be so low that I should RE-consider.

I’m so done with people not smiling and saying hello after you have smiled and said hello at events.  We’re here to have fun!

I’m so done with people throwing themselves against a wall as a I walk my Mal through a hotel lobby.

I’m so done with petty situations being turned into the EVENT OF THE DAY and becoming the “Have you heard…” start to any conversation at a show.

I’m so done with having un-contained dogs running out of their yards to attack me and my dog while I walk.  I’m carrying a herding sorting stick now and used it yesterday.

I’m so done with drivers who won’t slow down as I walk my dogs down the street or road.
I’m so done with having to climb a tree to avoid them too.

I’m so done with going to PetsMart and having fluffy-duffy shoe slipper dog on a bejeweled flexi-lead dart out between aisles and almost be eaten….ok, maybe not.

I’m so done with this cup o’ java.  Time for another…

Regards,

Bobby

wth: Images to make you smile and maybe even shed a tear

There is a photographer I follow. I love her style and she is from the Raleigh Durham area. When you live in the “South”, anyone that lives in the South is from your neck of the woods. Except for those Florida people. Just kidding.

Her website is http://www.jessicaclaire.net/

The reason I bring this up is two fold. One is that all of her images are very inspiring for me. Although I photograph dogs 99.99% of the time, there is a lot to be learned in terms of angles, coloration, and mood.

The other reason is that she did a shoot for a family that she had been following. The husband has a blog called Confessions of a CF Husband. Its about a man who is chronicling his life with his cystic fibrosis wife and their attempt [successfully] to have a child before her lung transplants!

The images are fab and the slideshow should cause you to say a prayer.

Its the blog post referencing the Lawrenson family. Enjoy!

Regards,

Bobby

PS I recommend you look at the Lawrenson pictures BEFORE you watch the slideshow.
