I went down to Brown’s Island [Richmond, VA] to photograph a ‘dock diving’ event. If you are not familiar with this, a handler and a dog are part of a team in which the dog attempts to leap as far out into a body of water as possible. The handler, often the owner, uses a variety of toys to get the most length out of his dog’s jump as possible. This event is run by Ultimate Air Dogs in conjunction with the United Kennel Club. The owner of the business, Milt Wilcox, also owns a Belgian Malinois [click to my doggy site].
