Ok, so this isn’t for normal adrenaline junkies.  This is taking it one step further – but dang, it just looks like fun!

Bono,,,,Rockstar….

Mr. Bono aka Rockstar aka Bonehead was able to take in his first Virginia morning. Ireland du Hameau Saint Blaise, also known as Bono, puttered around, picked up pinecones, chewed on some grass, and ran around like a nut job. He did stay still long enough for me to shoot some pics using...

Post Processing, Again

This is an image I shot a few months ago. I sometimes forget how as adults, we push our kids into situations in which they become warriors – even if its just for an hour or two.
This image still catches my eye and I decided to keep to my initial processing steps with just a...

Baseball on a Sunday Afternoon

My friend Mark asked me to photograph his son today.  Weather was great, action good, and I was able to bring out the Bigma [50-500mm] to shoot.
More to come!

Interesting Site – Biblical Legos

I don’t often read or click on the links in spam email from friends. I get so many of the joke of the day, the cute animal pictures, the funny pictures, the crazy video etc.
But this one caught my eye because it involves Legos, the Bible and LOTS of depth of field use.
Click to enjoy!

Soon to be 25

A pretty good article on CNN about the pending birthday of the Macintosh.
I’m a fairly recent convert. But you know what they say . . .  ‘Go big or go home’!
Both Angela and I have Macbook Pros.  My heavy grunting machine is a MacPro.
We both have iPhones to go along with our iPods and Apple...

An inspirational site and story

There is a website that I follow for inspiration – Crackle Photography.  You should definitely book mark this! Truly a talented photographer who, in my opine, has a strong sense of the cinematic.
Crackle recently posted about a family shoot and what caught my eye was the quick blurb about an individual who passed away.  I...

Capitol Steps

I’ve been experimenting with a new technique that I believe creates a surreal-almost-real image quality to a photo.
Note:  I just re-read this.  I sound like a dip$hit.  Anyway, I did the effect, I’m liking it.

Kacie Mo – In Living Color

I’ve finally had a chance to process some of the images of the lovely Kacie.  We had a lot of fun with this shoot.  First we snuck onto the grounds of a wedding location [a historic location in Richmond] and then took a quick hop down to downtown Richmond for the balance of the shoot. ...

Petersburg, oh Petersburg

I went on my own personal foto walk this a.m.  I jumped into the car and had my butt down in Olde Towne Petersburg, VA right before 7am.   The Farmer’s Market folks were just assembling their goods, a few people were out with their dogs, and other early morning risers were enjoying the cool morning.
I...
